Qwello is expanding in the Nordic region: Hundreds of new charging stations in 2026

We are stepping up the pace significantly – through a series of new developments, strategic acquisitions and successful tenders, we are expanding our network with hundreds of new charging points across Sweden and Denmark in 2026.

Our goal is to make electric car charging as convenient and accessible as possible. Throughout the year, we are therefore rolling out a large number of new charging points across the country to meet the growing demand for reliable destination charging.

Demand peaks occur naturally throughout the day when our shared habits coincide – such as when industries are operating at full capacity, buildings are being heated and thousands of households switch on cookers and dishwashers at the same time. As more and more vehicles are also plugged in at these same times, the strain on the grid increases further. This is where Qwello’s smart charging technology comes in as part of the solution.

New charging points coming in 2026:

  • Helsingborg – approx. 50 charging points
  • Lund – 42 charging points
  • Enköping – approx. 40 charging points
  • Kristianstad – 24 charging points
  • Eskilstuna – 10 charging points
  • Motala – 6 charging points

Strategic acquisitions in Nässjö and central Stockholm

In addition to our own new installations, we are also growing through strategic acquisitions. In Småland, we have taken over the operation of 40 existing charging points from Nässjö Municipality.

We have also acquired 24 charging points in central Stockholm – on Strandvägen and Riddargatan. During the year, these will be replaced with our own award-winning hardware, after which the locations will continue to be operated by Qwello.

Qwello enters the Danish market

Our expansion does not stop at the Swedish border. After winning a major tender in Copenhagen, we are now taking our first step into the Danish market. During 2026–2027, we will build a total of 140 new charging points across the Danish capital.
